The steelwork roof element is now up to level 10 and we have begun the decking out process. Large pieces of ribbed metal decking has been placed onto the steelwork frame which will make up the floor slab. Once the rib decking has been fitted, it will then be stud welded to secure into position and concreted.
From our monthly CLG meetings it was agreed that McLaren would carry out monthly litter picks in Tonbridge Walk. Thank you to our Welfare operative Biniam for carrying out these works!
The works being carried out to the goods lift area is progressing well. The area of slab is being gradually broken out through the levels down to the ground floor from the existing roof level. We are currently down to level 4 and is roughly 3 days per floor.
The façade cleaning has now been completed. There will be a return visit to pick up the areas which were left out due to access. It was a messy process but the building façade is now looking much more cleaner and brighter!
Planned works October/November
- Goods lift works continues
- Window installation
- Roof extension work continues
- Screed repairs
- UKPN substation waterproofing
- Internal fit-out
Green Card Award
This month’s Green Card Award was given to the Construction Solutions operative, George Ettridge along with £50 M&S vouchers by our Site Manager Darren Orpen.
Health & Safety is a big part of construction life and here at McLaren we like to award those who go that extra mile in reporting near misses and suggestions.
