We have now installed our 8 new cabins in the old garden area, which will be our new project offices and welfare facilities. The cabins will need to be fitted out, along with data, power and water.
Due to the weight of the cabins, propping was introduced and placed on the underside of the slab to support the cabins. All the hoarding that was needed in Tonbrige Walk as been completed and painted. Also, there will be some extra lighting to help brighten the walk further in the next week or so.
The new steel roof extension levels 9 and 10 works are well underway. The central core structure is the starting point of the works and is progressing well.
Works to the goods lift is ongoing. We have now moved up from the basement to the ground floor to start carrying out the next elements of the work to the goods lift. A crash deck has been installed to allow for the demo works to the slab and will catch prevent any debris falling onto operatives below.
Façade cleaning is progressing well. We are using a system called Jos which involves using a naturally occurring raw sand like material, which is used in conjunction with water. The high pressure blasts the façade which removes any deep down dirt. It is then rinsed to wash off any excess sand and dirt etc.
